           WE ARE GOD'S PEOPLE...

                                         ....IN WORD AND DEED!

For over 250 years, the Hampstead Congregational Church has been a significant part in the lives of people in this community. This is our church home where we gather for lasting friendships, inspiring worship, Christian education, mutual support and mission engagement in the world. This is our faith -response to the God who loves us, to Jesus the Christ who leads us and to the Holy Spirit who inspires us and makes us truly one.

We are a church of fond memories. Whether it be a Candlelight Christmas Eve service or the traditional Easter Sunrise Service at Camp Tel Nor, the magnificent music, fine preaching or sacraments of the church each Sunday, we know that we have been inspired, nurtured and fed. Through opportunities for fellowship and fun, service and mission, spiritual renewal and new hope, we remember a church that is open to God and to all who enter our doors, a people who reach out beyond ourselves, giving God the glory in all things.

We are a church of high hopes! We are a young, growing church with nearly 500 confirmed members, 200 infants, children and young people! The energy, enthusiasm and commitment of this church is very real here. We invite you to come, to be with us and to help us build the church that God desires in this community.

And we are a member church of the United Church of Christ built upon the history and heritage of its predecessor denominations: Congregational, Christian, Evangelical and Reformed. Together, with our more than 6,000 sister churches, we address a blend of personal piety with social responsibility in the world that God is creating.

Come and be with us!
